Chestnut PTA Presents The Wizard of Oz / El Mago de Oz

Our bi-lingual production of the Wizard of Oz / El Mago de Oz will be performed on Saturday, April 4th at 3 PM at Chestnut Elementary's gym. Doors open at 2 PM. Tickets are available for $1 at the door. Children 4 and under are free. There is VERY limited seating available and seats will be on a first come, first serve basis. Our thanks to EVERYONE who participated and volunteered in the production. It was a long, challenging yet rewarding process and we are VERY PROUD of our students cast, crew and parents and staff volunteers. Thank you for helping make this dream become a reality, and thank you to the National PTA for awarding this grant.

Marilynn Leahy Wins 2008-09 PTA District Educator Award

Today, Chestnut PTA President Kim Miller announced that Ms. Marilynn Leahy, Principal of Chestnut Elementary School, was the recipient of the 2008-09 PTA District Educator Award. She was presented with a certificate and a bouquet of flowers in front of staff. In addition, she has been invited to the Ohio PTA State Convention in April to receive her official award. Congratulations, Mrs. Leahy!

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE~ please do this at home! : ) *Please remember to have your child bring in their scripts and to bring comfortable shoes to practice. *Please let the office know that should your child be sick and cannot attend rehearsal to also let Mrs. Miller know for attendance purposes. *Also please pick up your child promptly at the scheduled dismissal times and be sure to come in to sign-out your child.
