Indoor Recess Parent Volunteer Training

The Lake County YMCA is developing an outreach program to help Painesville City elementary schools when indoor recess is needed due to the winter weather. Abby Silvestri, Sports and Outreach Director at the Central Branch, presented the program and asked for volunteer help at our January meeting.

A training session will be held Friday, January 20 from 12-1pm at the Lake County YMCA Central Branch. Children are welcome to attend with their parents since this is a teacher in-service day. Abby will review different games and lesson plans to be used as well as talk about how the program will be implemented.

To attend the training session and learn more about the Indoor Recess Program, contact Abby at asilvestri@lakecountyymca.org or 440-352-3303.
